Vintage French Elm Wood Trunk Side Table

A magnificent example of French brutalist and rustic design, this large vintage side table brings authentic, raw organic texture to modern and classic interiors alike. Sourced in the south of France, the table is crafted from a massive, single cross-section slab of French elm wood—a highly prized timber known for its deep, rich grain and exceptional strength. The table features a thick log top that proudly displays its original growth rings, natural splits , and live-edge contours. Resting on three hand-worked branch legs, it possesses a wonderfully balanced tripod silhouette reminiscent of the mid-century rustic movement popularized by French makers like Charlotte Perriand.
